Hi everyone and welcome to Bad Yogi!
My name is Erin Motz & I’m not your traditional yoga teacher: I’m the carnivorous, red wine and French cheese-loving type, and my aim is to keep my classes fun and accessible. You won’t hear much Sanskrit, I totally forgive you if you don’t know your asana from your elbow, & I firmly believe that yoga is for everyone, from the kale-loving vegan to the prize-winning deer hunter.
At Bad Yogi, we're redefining the image of yoga culture. It's time to remove the snobbery, pretense, and endless "prerequisites" to fit into this community and that's why we're here. I may be a Bad Yogi, but if I’m being totally honest, teaching yoga has been one of my greatest pleasures; I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.
Here you can expect to find yoga classes, Q&As, vlogs and some stuff just for fun.

just do t and y raises at the gym and strengthen the weak low and mid traps. Simplest fix, i did these consistently and my rounding has gone.
The belly pooch looks good on women don't lose it.
Imagine your picking uo a penny with your back muscles. Thats what it feels like. Its not lifting woth your butt, tenseing your neck, or just sucking in your belly button. You can actually feel when its activated if you do this videos method while lying on your back, knees uo, feet resting on the floor. When activated you can feel it 3-4 finger widths below your belly button. If you can't l, a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor can help! Its pretty common to have these muscles seperate in women. Its def fixable tho! ❤

What really helped me was watching model training videos. They stand flat against the wall with proper posture for a certain amount of time, then after that they put one foot in front of the other then switch, then you do it with a book on your head, then you do it with your arms sticking out. I also watched them do walking training with a beat in the back, you are supposed to move a certain way to the beat. I did that a few times a week for a few months and it helped me remember to use better posture, and it made me stronger. It helped a lot! I always imagine myself walking with a string on my head pulling me up, it helps align everything.

Purist? 😂 Wtf is a Purist!? It's our Religion and Culture you are appropriating, we have every right to call you out for it. Yall don't speak Sanskrit which is a MUST for a Yogi, you aren't Hindus which is a MUST for being a Yoga teacher (student isn't a must). And you aren't educated in Hindu scriptures. That's not a purist that's literally us telling you if you want to become a real Yogi and have show respect to religion and culture then convert to Hinduism and go to actual Gurukul (Hindu religious school) to start learning Sanskrit and the scriptures that a Yogi will need to properly teach Yoga. As a Hindu man who is on my way to become an Acharya (Hindu scholar) I'm sick and tired of yall westerners trying to make our religion into a trend for hippies. 😡

I never comment on anything. But being doing yoga probably before you were even plan. This is a disgrace to the practice which belongs to India.Its never been yoga in the western it’s only gymnastics and their entitlement to think they are better. Not trying to be a troll but this isn’t yoga only movement. Asana are many powerful poses that most western won’t teach to get their students better. They stay with simple poses but not with the intention to get their student to their next level. Asanas are meant to be done for the preparation of the body to open up for meditation. This
